Bank Account BSB and Number must not be empty error when uploading to a SuperStream Clearing House

Legacy KB ID: 5467

Question

Why do I get the error: “Bank Account BSB and Number must not be empty” when uploading a Super Export file to my SuperStream Clearing House?  The super fund bank account details have already been entered.

Answer

The error message refers to your company’s bank account details and not to the super fund’s bank account details.

The Clearing House needs bank account details to process refunds in the event the Super Fund cannot take your contribution.  This account should be the account you use to pay Payroll Liabilities.

Detailed Instructions

  1. Enter your bank account details on the Online Bank Details tab of your bank account setup:
    1. Financial Institution
    2. Branch Code (BSB)
    3. Account Number
    4. Account Type
  2. Edit > Preferences > Banking > Company Preferences, tick the box Open the Pay Payroll Liabilities form with, and select this bank account.
