Reckon Accounts crashes when opening a Report

Legacy KB ID: 4802

Question

Why does Reckon Accounts crash every time I try to open a particular report?

Answer

You will experience this problem if the amount of information that needs to be processed for the report is very large and your computer does not have sufficient memory to process it.

This can happen if you preset the date range to All Dates or a very long period for the number of transactions you have, so that when the report is launched there is too much data for the available computer memory.

Workaround

Open the Report with a smaller date range.

1.    Edit > Preferences > Reports & Graphs > My preferences;

2.    Tick the box Prompt me to modify report options before opening a report > OK;

3.    Open your Report and select a date range.
