Question

Why can’t I access the Reckon Accounts login page?  I get a message that “This page can’t be displayed.”

Answer

Make the Reckon Accounts website an exception I your security software.  If your security system does not allow you to make exceptions, you will need to remove it.

The Issue

The message is displayed because the user has been denied permission to access the Reckon Accounts website.  This may be due to setttings in your security system (firewall, anti-virus, internet monitor, desktop manager, and others) blocking access to the page.

Most security systems allow individual websites to be made exceptions to blocking rules.  Where a security system does not have this facility, that system must be removed.

Security systems without an Exceptions List

1.    Qustodio Free - online parental control software installed on a modem or router.

Workarounds

  1. Preliminary actions:
    1. Reset the Internet Explorer browser:
      1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset;
      2. Close Internet Explorer and restart the computer

  1. Add Reckon Accounts Hosted website to your exceptions list
    1. Refer to your security system’s user guide for instructions to add exceptions.
    2. Enter this address:  https://hosted.reckon.com/*

  1. Remove your security system.
    1. Obtain a security system that allows an exception list.
