How to log off a Reckon Accounts Hosted session that was closed abnormally

Legacy KB ID: 5370

Question

My Reckon Accounts Hosted session crashed and now I can’t log on.  I get the message that I am already logged on.  What can I do?

Answer

Log off the user in the Hosted Control Panel

The Issue

If Reckon Account Hosted crashes while you were using it, or if you left your Reckon Accounts Hosted idle for longer than the idle time roughly 2 hours , allowed by your Internet Service Provider, then you have lost your connection to Reckon Accounts Hosted in an abnormal manner.

The Server however still registers you as logged on as you did not go through the log off steps and cannot let you log on again.

Solution

You need to use the Reckon Accounts Hosted System Maintenance tools to log yourself off the Reckon Accounts Hosted servers:

  1. Login to Reckon Accounts Hosted;
  2. On the Dashboard, click on Control Panel;
  3. In the left pane, under System Maintenance, click on Log Off remote sessions;
  4. On the right in the User Sessions table, click on Log Off User for your UserID.
  5. After you get the message that the user has been logged off click on the Dashboard link in the top right
  6. Click on the Launch Accounts button to open your company file.
