Reconciliation Reports automatically print when doing a Bank Reconciliation.

Legacy KB ID: 4228

Question

Why do the Reconciliation Summary and Reconciliation Detail reports print automatically and not offer the option to Print, Display or Close?

Answer

You will experience this issue if your Reckon Accounts print file is corrupt.

Workaround.

1.    Close Reckon Accounts

2.    In Windows Explorer, browse to:

a.    Windows 7 & Vista: C:\Program Data\Intuit\<Reckon Accounts Version>

b.    Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data*\Intuit\<Reckon Accounts Version>

3.    Right click on the QBPRINT.QBP file and rename it to QBPRINT.OLD or delete the file

4.    Launch Reckon Accounts and this file will be recreated.

5.    The next time you reconcile you will have the options to Print, Display or Close.

Note:  Application Data is a hidden folder. To show this folder go to Tools > Folder Options > and select Show hidden files and folders. Click apply and then ok.
